As many believe that the Sunday’s game would be a biggest potential mismatches of defensive men if Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney is healthy enough to play the game, New Orleans Saints left tackle Jermon Bushrod is prepared whether Freeney is to play or not.
Bushrod was up to that challenge, just as he’ll likely be ready for Freeney or Robert Mathis or Raheem Brock or anyone else who lines up at right end for the Colts.
Indy’s pass rush is one of the most disruptive in the league because of the speed across the line, and Freeney might be the most dynamic pass rusher in the league when healthy. But Bushrod has decent athleticism. And his team is good enough to take the challenge, too. The Saints do a great job of offering help and scheming to move the pocket around, and quarterback Drew Brees does a great job of making quick decisions and releasing the ball before he gets in trouble.
Getting much less attention than Freeney, Saints defensive end Will Smith is just as important to the Saints’ pass rush. He is now in better shape than he is been since his first season in NFL jerseys, and is now faster and more athletic. The Saints will depend upon him a lot to try and disrupt Manning’s timing.

Cowboys FB Anderson was arrested and may face charge for carrying weapons
The Dallas Cowboys starting fullback Deon Anderson is in trouble now. While exchanging words with some restaurant staff, he did not expect that police would come to find more things that would cause more troubles.
According to a statement from the Addison police department, two weapons were confiscated at the scene and Anderson's car was impounded for further investigation. No charges have been filed at this time in relation to the weapons. Anderson was transferred to an Irving jail at 5:21 a.m. and posted bond at 7:20 a.m. The traffic warrants had been issued by the city of Irving.
Putting on his #34 Cowboys jersey three years ago as the 21st pick from the 6th round, the 27-year-old Anderson has stayed in Dallas for all of his first three NFL seasons, starting 10 regular-season games with no carries but having 12 tackles on special teams.

Kurt Warner won’t change his mind about retirement
Although there has been example set by Brett Favre, the ex-Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner is not going to reconsider his retirement. Two days after he announced retirement last Friday, Warner told reporter in an interview that there is no second-guessing at all about his decision on retirement.
The reason he gave for the determination was just what one of the great players should give after he announces retirement. Warner said he was unwilling to lower the standard he had set and give anything less than maximum effort toward his job. At age 38, making mistake seems inevitable, and mistake is what Warner would not allow while playing football, one of his great loves in life.
And the decision to retire was made after one year of contemplation, according to what Warner told the reporter. That means Warner has had enough re-thinking before making his final decision, and retiring remains the best choice for him. Leaving fame and the last half of his two-year $23-million contract behind, Warner’s retirement is just totally different from the Retire-Show made by Favre, who put on New York Jets jersey after announcing retirement in 2008 and joined Minnesota Vikings after he said he was to retire in 2009 offseason.

2009 season out-of-expectation: Titans and Vince Young
Losing his starting job to Kerry Collins during training camp, the quarterback in No.10 Tennessee Titans jersey waited long enough to get the job back, with the help from Titans fans and team owner Bud Adams, who together forced coach Jeff Fisher to change his mind while he was still believing that Collins could bring bigger winning chance even after the No. 5 led the Titans to nothing but six consecutive losses, including a 0-59 loss to the New England Patriots on Oct. 18.
Since the first game Young started for the Titans this season, he had proved how correct the fans and Adams were and how wrong Fisher had been. Winning one game may be nothing but luck, but leading the team to five consecutive victories did tell something. How many fans the 0-6 start frustrated, and then there were as many or more fans who were inspired by the eight victories of the last ten games.

Kurt Warner retired after spending 12 years in NFL
As many guessed before Friday’s news conference, the Arizona Cardinals quarterback, well now we should say former Cardinals quarterback, Kurt Warner announced on the news conference that he decided to retire, ending a 12-year NFL career.
“It’s been an amazing ride,” Warner said Friday. “I don’t think I could have dreamt it would have played out like it has, but I’ve been humbled every day that I woke up the last 12 years and amazed that God would choose to use me to do what he’s given me the opportunity to do.”
Putting on NFL jersey as a backup quarterback for the St. Louis Rams in 1998, Warner took starting job the next year a replacement to injured Trent Green and brought the Rams a masterful and wholly unexpected season, by leading the team to a 13-3 regular-season record and a Super Bowl triumph over the Tennessee Titans. Such achievement earned him the league and Super Bowl MVP. He had the Rams back in the Super Bowl game again in 2001 and lost the game to the New England Patriots. Following an injury-plagued 2002 season, he lost starting job in Rams and signed a free agent contract with the Giants for 2004. Being replaced by rookie Eli Manning nine games later, he chose to sign with the Cardinals in 2005 when there was no other team willing to give him starting job.
It was after Matt Leinart went down with an injury in 2007-08 season when Warner had his chance. From then on, he started 48 of the remaining 49 games of his career, leading the Cardinals to the NFC West crown and three playoff victories before the narrow loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in last year’s Super Bowl.
He is a man of deep faith and carried a Bible to each post-game news conference. He and his wife operate the First Things First Christian charitable foundation. After retirement, Warner plans to spend more time with family while doing some preaching. He may also get into football broadcasting. Wish him a better life!

Rams RB Jackson was involved with violence charge
The St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson should learn some lesson about how to treat his girlfriend and a pregnant woman. Having been accused of beating a girlfriend who was nine months pregnant with the couple’s child at his Las Vegas home last year, Jackson will have to pay his price for lacking of such knowledge.
The girl, whose name is Supriya Harris, filed a complaint with Las Vegas police this week saying the two-time Pro Bowl running back repeatedly pushed her to the ground in March 2009 and bloodied her hip. According to Las Vegas police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan, for the police report made in LaPlace, La., had not yet been provided to Las Vegas police, there has not yet any active investigation under way.
Being asked about the case involved a player in Rams jersey; the team gave just a non-sense “aware-of-the-situation” answer. “We are always concerned with issues involving our players,” Coach Steve Spagnuolo said. And Jackson’s own answer was totally non-man: he called the accusations “untrue” and “hurtful” in a statement issued by one of his agents!
